Route 66 Cruiser Meeting Minutes

January 3, 2016, Pizza Hut

Dwayne Caldwell called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Jerry Henry led the Pledge of Allegiance and opening prayer.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved as read.

The minutes from the last meeting were read and approved as read.

Dewayne reminded everyone the first cruise of the year will be held Saturday, January 9th.  Leaving the Pizza Hut parking lot at 9:15, then to Talley’s Diner at 11th and Yale.  After dining heading to the Tulsa Historical Society at 26th and Peoria.

Barbara Kelsey is selling Reasor’s coupons on behalf of the Eastern Stars.  The money raised will be to assist Meals on Wheels.

Visitors introduced were Vernon and Leta Epperson, Patrick & Lillian Tucker and Gilbert and Autumn Greyvill.

Discussion on the purchase of a new trailer resulted in the motion made by Jerry Henry to allow $4,000 to be spent by the President, to purchase a trailer. The motion was seconded.  By show of hands the motion was passed. 

Sharon Coldren asked the club to inform her of illnesses, deaths, etc. so that she may send cards, flowers, etc if needed on behalf of the club. 

Car Show Committee is needed to determine expenses to be presented to the club. 

Gary reminded the group that on February 19th the New Heart Church will have a Sock Hop.  The funds for this go Tulsa Boys Club, to help boys build and work on cars. A representative will be at the February meeting with more information.

Paul Kelsey thanked the club for the donation to the Shriners.  The portion to the Stocking Fund resulted in each child receiving a second gift.  In turn, Paul Richards thanked Paul for all his work both to the club and the Shriners.

Paul Kelsey will have free Shriners Circus tickets for club members for the at Hodges Computers.
