The Route 66 car club meeting was called to order by President Dwayne Caldwell
At 5:00 pm at the Will Rogers Downs.

The Secretary’s report was read and approved as read.
The Treasurer’s report was approved as read.

Dwayne Caldwell talked about the sound system that was bought. He said that it was a very good sound system and it will be used only for the car club events. Ken Metzinger moved to approve the purchase of the sound system that was purchased, second and adopted.

Dwayne said that there was only three bands contacted us. They were close to the same price. The club voted to go with Bill Holden for the price of $(XXXX).
 

Dwayne call for the vote as to where we will meet for our meetings. The club voted to still meet here at Will Rogers Downs.

We have a new member tonight. Shawn & Adie Romsa.
 

Dwayne discussed the Christmas party. As of now the party will be December 12th. The Senior Center of Claremore could have us at the cost of $45.00 per hour. This is not set in stone so if we can come with something soon we will vote on it then .

Denny Rhett said that they went on the Buddy’s short cruise. There were ten different Ideas. Eight of them were overnight, all within a 100 mile distance. Car shows mentioned were the Red Fern Festival, Tulsa Auto Show.

He said that Richard Hodges has tickets.

The cruise to Ugly John’s will be nail down soon, and Dwayne will put the information on the internet.

Dwayne said that there was a lot of people who wanted to have us drive our cars at
weddings and proms. If you are interested contact Richard or Brian Hodges.

Ray Vaun tribute to Buddy Holly is coming up May 16th at the Robson Performing Arts Center. You can mention the Route 66 Cruisers and get a discount on the tickets.

Sharon Caldwell passed around pictures of the new t-shirts. The price will be what
the car clubs wants. The price will be different for the car clubs.

The car clubs picnic will be May 17th at No 1 shelter. The meat will be furnished by the Car club, which will be chicken. It will be further discussed at the next meeting.

The Jefferson Highway tour will be May 2nd .

Great Race June 21st at 12:30 to 3:30pm. Need to know who will pass out fliers at any of the places.

Tulsa Swap Meet April 24th -25th.

Dwayne said that we need a Pinup Girl Committee. Think about it and we will discuss
at the next meeting.

Dwayne told us that Terry Haddock helped on the By-Laws and his help made it a whole lot easier. He read a few changes that will be in the By-Laws to be voted on.

A discussion on how much can be spent and what officers can be able to buy without a vote. All will be voted on next meeting.
Discussion on the cost of getting 501C-7

Dwayne would like the club members who have our property to let he know so he can Have a list of what we have and where.

The car show needs silent auction items. If you get some take them to Richard Hodges.

It would be nice to have a small sound system for the cruise in. If you know of one call Dwayne.
