Route 66 Cruisers Car Club Meeting Minutes- Barbara Kelsey Route 66 Cruisers Car Club Secretary.
January 12, 2014

The meeting was called to order by the President Ted Hancock at 5:00 pm.
The Treasurers report was read by Nelda Conger and approved as read.

The minutes of the previous meeting was read by Barbara Kelsey and
approved as read.

President Ted Hancock asked the visitors to introduce themselves. Leon and
Roberta Carnes, Mike and Sarah Pulse, They want to join the club.

Special guest were PeeWee Smith and
Richard Carroll from the Craig County Shrine Club. They presented a plaque
to the club for all the work that the club does for the Shrine Children.

Ted Hancock said that he wanted to go right into talking about the Car
Show. He asked Dwayne  Caldwell to tell about it.

Dwayne said that Mike Bennett will be in charge
of registration, Terry Haddock will be in charge of the judging, Delbert Tygart will be in charge
of the parking, Betsy McClendon and Paul Kelsey will be in charge of the food vendors, Sharon
Coldren will be in charge of the craft vendors. Nancy Davis and Velma Harris volunteered to
help on the T-shirts and Trophy committee. Richard Hodges said that he will have more
information on that next meeting.

Dwayne said that the main sponsors will be the same as last years. The
committee on the Flyers will be Jim White, Paul Richards, Gayanne Bantle. There will be
some changes on the Flyers.

They will meet Wednesday January 15th at the Pizza Hut at 6:30 pm.

Dwayne Caldwell said that we needed to do something different about the
higher sponsors.
He is working on getting sponsors for the Best of the Best. Paul Richards
moved that the club approve for him to try to get the sponsors, seconded, discussion, approved.

Ed and Kay Meacham will again be in charge of the Toy Run.

Dwayne Caldwell showed a picture of a peddle car for the Car Show raffle.
Gayanne Bantle moved that we purchase the peddle car, seconded, approved.

Gayanne said she knows someone who has some sound equipment. Ted Hancock said
that he will look into it.

Paul Richards is looking for 15” tires.

Ted Hancock asked about the progress on the truck. Paul Richards has
carpet and paint, Dwayne Caldwell has door panels. The truck is at Shorty Dunlaps place.

Sharon Coldren suggested that we find out if we can have the next car club
meeting on February 9th because of the Super Bowl. Kaye Meacham will check.

Bill Holden will be at the Hard Rock Tuesday 14th from 7 to 11 pm.

Paul Richards would like to have a Phone Directory and e-mail updates.

Sharon Coldren told us about going to the Drummond House tour. The tour
will be on Saturday the 18th. They will be leaving be leaving at 12:45 pm.
It will be on the web site.

The dues are due now. Richard Hodges moved that we change the dues to
$15.00 for singles and $20.00 for couples starting next year, seconded, discussion,
approved.
